Brother Melchor Fontanilla’s Burial

Reports from PBC alumnus Jesse Fontanilla say that his father, long time evangelist Melchor Domingo Fontanilla, went to his rest May 16th and was buried on May 25th in Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat. All the children, including those living abroad, have come home to see the remains of their beloved father.

Church Planting Starts in Agoo, La Union

PBC alumnus Trifon M. Lachica who is now a full-time evangelist based in Pongpong, Santo Tomas, La Union coordinates a church planting project in the southern La Union town of Agoo. Distribution of tracts and WBS flyers started on May 23rd. The members of the Pongpong church are behind this project with assistance from Dick Baguioen, Alexander Coloma and Eusebio Tanicala, among others. This town is the commercial and educational center of southern La Union. It is hoped that a new congregation will be established in the town proper.

Evangelism Continues in Apayao

Brother Warner A. Macusi of Dingras, Ilocos Norte, a PBC alumnus, is an active participant in sharing the pure gospel in the northern part of Apayao province. Although he is a Civil Engineer and a building contractor by secular profession, he finds time to carry out his share in spreading the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ. Another follow-up preaching in Apayao is planned for May 29-31. A new church has been planted in this area on the third week of February.

Prayers and Supplications Needed

Brother Romeo Nonog, evangelist who is based in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, was rushed to the provincial hospital due to hypertension in the early morning of May 20th according to a text message of Roger T. Nonog. Brother Romeo and sister Violeta Nonog both attended Philippine Bible College. All their children (three sons and two daughters) have attended Philippine Bible College. Fellow alumni are encouraged to lift up to the Lord the case of brother Romeo. May he recover and continue to serve the Christ in this northern Luzon province.

Leadership Training Seminar in Ilocos Sur

PBC alumnus Arturo Galusan of San Emilio, Ilocos Sur has invited Eusebio Tanicala and Dick Baguioen to conduct a seminar for church leaders in his town. Church leaders of three congregations in the area will come together for this June 1-2 affair. Brother Leon Lais and Cesar Comullob, both alumni of PBC are active leaders in the churches in Ilocos Sur.

Board of Trustees Monthly Meeting Resumes in June

Members of the PBCAA board of trustees took advantage of the April-May vacation to go into many areas of the country participating in gospel meetings, church planting campaigns, lectureships, seminars and Vacation Bible School classes. So meetings in April and May were suspended. But the regular monthly meeting resumes on June 24th.

South Cotabato PBC Alumni Meeting

PBCAA Executive Vice President Jun Patricio met in the fourth week of May with all PBC alumni who are now living in the province of South Cotabato and Sultan Kudarat.
